At Sabine Elementary we are using Core Essentials, a character education program that focuses on a different value word each month.  Teachers will be discussing the value each week in class, morning announcements will feature stories and quotes about the value, and each child will bring home a discussion card to share with parents each month.

Another neat thing is that when teachers catch a student displaying the value word of the month, they will be awarded a "Value-Able" card that will entitle the child to a free kid's meal at Chick-Fil-A. Kids who are recognized with a card will have their name added to the "Cardinals With Character" display case in the front hallway and be mentioned during morning announcements.
